Giải thích

Hiện tại đơn diễn tả thói quen, chân lý, lịch trình và tình huống lâu dài, thường đi với trạng từ tần suất. Hiện tại tiếp diễn (be + V-ing) diễn tả hành động đang diễn ra bây giờ/quanh lúc này và kế hoạch tương lai đã sắp xếp. Chọn thì tùy hành động là thói quen hay đang tạm thời diễn ra.

The present simple states habits, general truths, schedules and permanent situations, usually with adverbs of frequency. The present continuous (be + V-ing) describes actions in progress now or around now, and fixed future arrangements. Choosing between them depends on whether the action is a routine or is temporarily happening.

Present simple for routines, facts and timetables: add -s/-es for he/she/it.

Present continuous for actions happening now or temporary situations.

Động từ chỉ trạng thái (know, want, believe, own) thường không dùng ở tiếp diễn.
Stative verbs (know, want, believe, own) are normally not used in the continuous.

Dropping the -s: "He work here" → "He works here."

Dùng tiếp diễn cho thói quen: "I am going..." → "I go to the gym every day."
Using continuous for a habit: "I am going to the gym every day" → "I go to the gym every day."
